Para tratar la hipertensión arterial, ansiedad, insomnio y los calambres. Las hojas, corteza y semillas poseen una acción sedante y ligeramente narcótica (hipnótica)

Uso: Hervir un litro de agua, cuando suelte hervor, agregar 4 cucharadas soperas del té, dejarlo hervir por 10 minutos. Apagar y dejarlo reposar para tomarlo como agua de uso (no volver a hervir).
